[HBR] Building the HBR

I have thought about the same thing...............
In my "non tube" life, I have an inexpensive Si570 Controller kit that I sell. The Si570 is an extremely accurate oscillator and has a 12x1 LCD display, the microcontroller we added has IF offsets, etc. The output is 3Vp-p and would perform the function of a very stable LO. People are using these as inexpensive substitutes for crystal packs on Collins/Drake rigs to make them general coverage.

Anybody ever built one with a digi-display? Yeah, I know it's not classic
boatanchor style, but it might be interesting.

Mine's got an ACN dial..... works great for me.
