[HBR] HBR form factor - "mods"

Hello Bill,
I had built the HBR-11 (I think it's the
"11" .. I used solid-state rectifier).
I'm not saying
it can't be done, but it seemed to me that the radio is jam
packed
they way it is.
Most components needed to be mounted vertically
to tube sockets to
make for much needed room.
I think I
may have cheated in the AGC circuit and used a small piece of
perf-board to mount components on.
