Scott -

I have an HBR-16 with a full set (10?) coils, "somewhere". It's in a
storage unit, and I may or may not be able to root it out!

It's not pretty, but it looks like most all the parts were bought with a
parts list from the article, i.e., all originally specified parts.
There are a few pictures of it on Kees' site.

It would be a perfect candidate for a "rebuild", and it doesn't look
like I'm ever going to get to it. I seem to recall that the clear
plastic cover for the dial is cracked, but it's just thin plastic and
flat, so should be easy to replace.

My Son-in-law is coming this weekend, and I may be able to find it with
his help, if you are interested.

I've looked over the info on the 16 and 13 on Kees site and both seem to be a great choice. While I think the 16 was the first HBR, it appears to holds its own against the 13. If you were building an HBR today, which version would you favor and why?

Once I figure out the version to run with, I'm going to have to create a spread sheet of parts and simply start hunting them down. Any leads on the more critical parts like the IF coils, BFO coil, main tuning capacitor, Eddystone dial or National dial, would be appreciated.
