[HBR] Need source...plastic dial material

Hello to all:
I'm pretty much settled into building an HBR-14 but remain dissatisfied with
the current offerings of dial verniers available.  I want something
different and decided to take a different approach.  I would like to make a
translucent dial ala the SX-28.  My plan is to start off with making a paper
copy circular dial and calibrating the dial once the receiver has been
built.  I will then take the marked sheet and superimpose a computer
generated scale over the sheet. The final result will be printed on a clear
sheet and then affixed to the translucent sheet.  Has anyone accomplished
