[HBR] Projects

Tom,
I hope that effort goes well. I only recently re-subscribed/joined QST/ARRL hoping for an occasional construction project that actually evolved radio theory... I was actually surprised that they featured a 'vintage' section at all.
I hope it becomes more widely known that there are a lot of hams out here that still enjoy building their own gear...the way that people used to do it. As hard as I've tried, I can't work with SMD's!
Thanks & 73,
-Vern N7GTB

My personal project, having read that pitiful "vintage radio" issue in QST,
was to remind them that, in a previous issue, a reader had written in to
[only] mention the HBR. It didn't get more than a "mention" from him, so I
wrote in to remind them that it was in QST, that Ted Crosby's articles
appeared... not once, but several times, and that the radio was STILL being
constructed and loved. I supplied the reflector as well, so we'll see if
the ARRL staffers "rise up from the cushions" and NOTICE us, and the fine
receiver(s) that W6TC (the original one) offered up.
