I have just read about your troubles with the 7360 product detector and AGC
problems.

I would like to comment about my experience with the 7360.

I built a HBR-21 receiver back in the late 1960s using the 7360. I still use
the receiver today. It has worked flawlessly for 40 years.

The circuit for the 7360 product detector and AGC circuit came out of Bill
Orr's W6SAI Radio Handbook 17th edition, page 605.

The 7360 can and will do a really fine job.
