[HBR] to anchor our childhood boats

yep... must be why I buy & fix 'em.  All those wonderful radios I could only DREAM about when I was a kid.  What was worse, was that I lived in Kansas City, and often rode the streetcar down to the old Burstein-Applebee (B-A), where those wise and astute old boys would lend you a set of REALLY HARD 'earphones', and you could listen to such wonders as HRO's, Hammerlund Super-Pros, National NC-183D's, Halliscratchers of all descriptions, Morrows, Multi-Elmacs, and you-name-it.

NOW - I get to own 'em, touch 'em, and caress their knobs... My fave' (STILL),  [not counting the HBR-11] is the SX-62A Halli', and the NC-173 like Thor Hyerdahl had on the Kon Tiki.  Are we rich or what?
