[HBR] Coils

This has been a concern of mine for some time, having built numerous HBR
coils a la TC. I really don't like using the Duco...it gives a marginal job
in MHO. One thought was to do what National did back in the 30s, by
cutting slots for the wire. Too complicated, and I don't have a machine shop
with a thread cutter. Next thought was to spray with Krylon clear coating,
but I am concerned that it might affect the coil Q. But I really don't
know. A very thin coat, just enough to fix the windings in place???
Perhaps someone can help out here.
