Scott,

Quit worrying, and pick up the soldering iron.  Get a chassis, recommended
for the HBR-11, and build the "8" on it.. then you can put the rest of the
goodies on it to make it into the "11"... matter-of-fact, the April 1963
article about it, is named "The HBR-8 becomes the 11".  Besides, you'll have
all the coils wound already, and the rest will be easy.

As those idiots from NIKE say....
