[HBR] Super Gainer

I built something similar, from the 1942 handbook I built a RX that used =
a 6K8=20
followed by a 6C8.  The 6K8 was the mixer, the 6C8 was a regenerative=20
detector operating on a fixed tuned frequency of about 1700 kc.  One hint=
 if=20
you build one of these, use a fairly high C tuned circuit in the regen=20
detector, stability will be better.  It worked VERY well, and I used that=
=20
receiver for about 2 years when I first got started in BA operating.  I h=
ad=20
acquired a Phasemaster TX fer $1 at a hamfest but had no RX to go with it=
, so=20
I built that radio.  Worked AM, CW and SSB mostly on 160 and 80 with that=
=20
setup.
