Hi Byron. I added my comments to your note. Thank you for offering the
information...........

.........I would be interested in that, but you have to keep the scans
down to
less than 100KB (pictures around 50KB) or they take up too much space.
If you could mail me a good copy for my files, I would appreciate it. I
have
catalog information on the 512, 612, and 912 ...not on the 012. The main
thing about these is that they are large. The 512 is air core, the 612 is
powdered iron which should provide better selectivity than the 512, and
the 912 is permeability tuned which is even better. I'd use the 912 or
612
transformers if you have them. Since these are relatively difficult to
find
today, the 85Khz BC-453 IFs are really excellent and much more readily
available. I was very surprised just how good they look on a Spectrum
Analyzer.
I have no information at all on the smaller IFs 1709, 1710, 1711, etc

.........Don't know if anyone has built one but they look very well
designed.
I realize that the HBRs can be improved for today's crowded bands and
have
been contemplating adding some crystal filters so I can use it more
often.
You might ask on the HBR reflector or the Boatanchors reflector. Would
really like to see one of those turn up at a swapmeet. Most people would
just walk by looking for an Icom, Kenwood, etc.

.......sounds great !!
