I think at the meeting yesterday, Ray Mc Nally (N5SEZ) said a component of
the "Let's Build Something Radio" project is an Arduino.  If you are not
familiar with the Arduino, it is an Open Source hardware development
platform, created by Italian engineer Massimo Banzi <

Arduino boards are available as a ready-to-go manufactured part, but they
can be a bit pricey, reaching north of $35.  If you want some less
expensive options, the Ardweeny is available as a kit from Solarbotics for
$9.95 + shipping < https://solarbotics.com/product/kardw/ >.  For just a
few dollars more, you can build your own Arduino from parts <
