[HBQRP] on a personal note

[Piatt, Darwin]

Almost 50 years ago, on 1 Feb. 1961, I enlisted in the U.S. Air force
for a 4 year enlistment which ended up being a 23 year, 1 month and 1
day career.
Yesterday I stood in the recruiting office here in Omaha and watched my
youngest child, Zachary, take the same oath and become the 3rd
generation Piatt to be in the U.S. Air Force. 
I was (am) very proud even thought it felt so strange to realize how
long ago that was.
