I had heard of this group for some time. I like action oriented model
where you actually are doing something. What a concept!
Lately I have finished a Blue ESR meter to use in my new challenge which
is learning how to work on boatanchors. I am almost done with my
Retro-75 and hope to get a small cadre of AM stations on the air here in
southcentral Alaska. And finally, last night I was wrapping up a keyer
that I will finish today. It will go on my 10 meter beacon which
hopefully will go back on the air this week. I had a chip custom
programmed with my beacon text and also with autostart. This should
keep the beacon going after a power outage.
I have great memories of my time in Iowa (Atlantic, Ames, and Iowa City)
in the 60s and early 70s. I operated as WNØLPK in 1965 and as WAØLPK
starting in late 1965. My station back then is shown on my website at
