Yeeeee Haw, the meeting is on the 12th. Good ! I have that weekend open and
plan to be there. Ordered the regen radio kit from Doug last week. Not sure
if he is back yet from summer vacation but hope to have the kit there at the
meeting if I get it in time. Also hope to bring along the young chap who is
going to build it.
Been thinking of buying a CW filter kit. Can anyone recommend anything ? I
see Vectronics has one but appears they aren't available for awhile.
Something to do with MFJ acquiring them causing a delay. Midnightscience (?)
has one but it looks as if it is non adjustable. Ramsey also has an
offering. Do you know of any others ???
Started a local 10 meter cw net last night just for the fun of it. We have a
fairly new ham who wanted to get some cw practice. Just ran about 10 watts
but was a lot of fun. My first time as being a cw net control. Ncs gets lots
of sending practice I found out.
Rummaging thru some boxes on a rainy afternoon caused me to find an unbuilt
Scorpion paddle kit from a few years ago. Also found a straight key kit
unassembled among other things I'd forgotten about. Might say I'm rounding
up things for winter building.
Back to the soldering iron..............Steve/WB0QQT
