Hi Arnie,
Great link, thanks. His prices seem to be very good.
I might have to try one of these. (After I finish some other things.)
:)
I do not think we have anything special on the agenda for the 12th.
I will be bringing more of the little Manhattan Audio Oscillators for
anyone who wants one ($2.00) each. I can use one to do a little Short
Manhattan techniques class if anyone is interested, I also read an
interesting article on random wire antennas and will be happy to talk
about what 'random' really means.
I have two of the little RFToolKits from Kits and Parts.com and will
discuss how to use them to make a little DC receiver with little effort.
The modules sell for $8 or $9 each with all parts and nice circuit
boards. you all might be interested.
Also, I fixed Steve's Injector/Tracer and will bring that with me. If
any of you have built it and it doesn't work, bring it and we will see
if I can get it running for ya!
On the agenda also are, discussions on building project at Branson,
planning next years 1DIJ (1 Day In July) event and another
Lark-in-the-Park before the end of the year.
Some of our members are also in the Polar Bear group and that time of
year is coming. I would like to challenge our polar Bears; let's try to
field at least a couple Bears for each month's full moon this season.
OK?
I have also finished a prototype of the "my pixie III" and will bring it
for show and tell.
I have one of the DC40B's here at work with me and solder a little every
lunch hour. Today I finished the last capacitor so will start winding
some coils and installing some IC's and Transistors tomorrow. I've found
that taking a quick lunch away from my desk then working on some tiny
QRP gadget for the rest of the hour, provides me with some great escape
time and after I put the soldering iron away, I'm ready for the
afternoon. Try it.
OK that is my update for now, hope to see you all next Saturday and
bring lots of cool stuff.
Remember, last time I forgot the two big boxes, this time I will
remember and anything left in the boxes at going home time, goes in the
dumpster.
See ya and 73's

Subject: [HBQRP] Whats up at the next gathering?
Hi Group!
Just thought I would drop an e-mail into the blender here and ask about
what
was going on at the next gathering. I heard a little talk of another
"Lark in the Park" type of operation sometime yet this year.. is
that
something in the near time line, or something for next spring?
If we are going to be building, what are are you all going to be
working on? It'd be fun to hear what projects the members are
working on.

P.S. IF I can get away from ripping up the basment for some much needed
repairs, I hope to be workin on an N3ZI DDS VFO board that showed up in
the mailbox a week or so ago.
