Hi Group!

While snooping around on the net I found a few interesting sites that
I thought you might like.

One of these is the Curious inventor web site.
It has a couple of  interesting guides for various things that a homebrewer might be interested in.. 

Surface mount soldering, and a tutorial on a FREE schematic capture and board layout software package.   There is a link to the software site where you can download it for free, in either Windows form or a Linux version of the software.  (Darwin??)
