[HBQRP] PAC-12 antenna

Hi All...

A couple of people were asking about the PAC-12 antenna I had set up at the
HB-QRP meeting today.

The basic antenna is $85 including one long coil and one short coil.  I
believe I purchased a "show special" including an extra short coil and the
carry case for ~$100.  I have since purchased a couple of extra short coils
(10-30M)

The article was originally published in issue #8 of QRP Homebrewer magazine.

In my opinion the antenna is one of the best bargains around for a
"portable" vertical antenna. (YMMV)

After the meeting today, several of us talked about some kind of portable
"antenna shoot-out" for the July meeting.  (If the weather cooperates,
otherwise we may try for the September meeting.)  I will bring the antenna
and a full set of 40-10 meter coils.  (I may even bring an 80M coil,
although I don't expect a 12' antenna/coil to be very efficient on 80
meters.)
