Hi Tim,
It would be hard to pass up Harry on that big screen.....
Don't worry about the surface mount, it will work out because I think
Darrel sent an e-mail this weekend saying that the order for the SDR's
was just going in and that they, most likely, will not be back by the
meeting this weekend anyway.
So that means that at the Sept. meeting there will be a lot of us doing
surface mounting. No problem.
Keep us informed..

Hi All--

I was sure I would be able to make your next meeting
as I got a SoftRock RXTX, v6.1, from Tony at Ozarkcon.
However, I was told yesterday that my presence was
needed at my father-in-law's birthday party. And,
that night we are goiong to Harry Potter at the IMAX.

If I make the September meeting, can someone show me
how to get the surface mount ICs onto the bottom side
of the board? I have read your email so I have an
idea but would love tom have someone SHOW ME.

To Joe, K0NEB, my KX1 is off to Don Wilhelm, W3FPR, to
ghe 30-80 kit built and installed (as advertise3d in
the Elecraft website). Don has told me he goes over
everything and makes sure all is well before he ships
any units back. That is good for me as I do not like
my dummy loads. Guess I will have to get one from
Norcal or Elecraft.
