Hi Tim...

You should be OK... We are behind in getting out SoftRock's ordered. It
doesn't look like we will have them for the July meeting anyway.

We are planning an antenna shoot out in the park for the July meeting.

We are tentatively planning a surface mount installation demonstration for
the September meeting to help everyone get the surface mount components
installed on our kits.

We will then finish the build at home and have a group tune up/how to make a
SoftRock work demonstration at the November meeting.

[or something like that]

As always, everyone is encouraged to bring whatever they are working on - to
work on or just show off!

Hi All--

I was sure I would be able to make your next meeting
as I got a SoftRock RXTX, v6.1, from Tony at Ozarkcon.
However, I was told yesterday that my presence was
needed at my father-in-law's birthday party. And,
that night we are goiong to Harry Potter at the IMAX.

If I make the September meeting, can someone show me
how to get the surface mount ICs onto the bottom side
of the board? I have read your email so I have an
idea but would love tom have someone SHOW ME.

To Joe, K0NEB, my KX1 is off to Don Wilhelm, W3FPR, to
ghe 30-80 kit built and installed (as advertise3d in
the Elecraft website). Don has told me he goes over
everything and makes sure all is well before he ships
any units back. That is good for me as I do not like
my dummy loads. Guess I will have to get one from
Norcal or Elecraft.
