I have a 4BTV stuck in the ground behind the house (with 80 meter
resonator on top) and it have survived 5 winters so far.
I have 4 radials, each 33 feet long.
Works great and just wobbles a little in high wind.
It is mounted on a 6 foot TV mast driven into ground down to 5 foot
level, about 1 foot sticks out. I drove an 8 foot ground rod in right
next to it and only a few inches of it shows.
That answer your question?

Another article, this one a tad more complimentary:

On another note: Is anyone around here actually using a Hustler BTV
antenna (4/5/6BTV)? I'm interested in how it does in the winds we see
here in the spring and winter.

It's a thankless job, but I've got a lot of karma to burn off.
