I forget which article it was but heard of one guy
who worked AO-27 I believe with a hand held and used
one of those expendable duckies. I have several types
of hand held antennas and try every once in awhile to
listen in on the birds but since AO-27 and UO-14 went
off line Its been rather difficult. I travel alot and
so far have only been able to sneak a dual
bander/tri-bander into my bags.
