[Hammarlund] HQ-170A oscillator alignment

There are a couple of factors: Normal adjustments for the ends of
the bands are the coil and the trimmer capacitor. Some sets also have a
padding cap which affects the calibration in the middle of the range.
Mid band accuracy is also affected by the position of the dial. There is
a usual marker to set the dial for maximum frequency with the tuning
condenser fully meshed.
Another factor, although not too common, is the centering of the
rotor in the stator. The "law" of the capacitor depends on this. if the
bearing has been fussed with the rotor may no longer be centered which
will throw off the entire calibration. If the calibration is off on all
bands in a similar way this is something to check on.
