[Hammarlund] HQ-180A alignment

I don't have an HQ-180 so have to go by the handbook. Does not the
receiver have two selectivity switches, one for full response and one
for sideband selection? The selection switch should result in a
non-symmetrical pass band displaced from the center in the direction of
the selected sideband with exception of the 1Khz position which is
centered. The other position should yield a symmetrical passband
centered on the IF frequency. It sounds like you are getting the
non-symmetrical response all the time.

It's right on at the 1 KHz position which is the position the manual told me to align it with, but need to adjust the dial 2 KHz lower when switching to 3 KHz using the vernier control (widest on this receiver).
