If you check your clock you might find it is synced to WWVB not WWV. Some
are, some are not. That will make a difference.

CHU in Ottawa uses a 10kw xmtr, and WWV in Fort Collins also uses a 10kw
xmtr. Don't know about their antennas. When I had an "atomic" clock here
at the house, I could never get it to synch up with WWV so as to stay on
time. Dunno why WWV is so weak here. It's very weak or often not heard
on the 500+ foot loop antenna and the same on the inverted vee. CHU is
rarely heard on the inverted vee, but strong most of the day, and readable
all day, on the loop.
I'm not sure that our elected officials know what decade it is, much less
what time it is. Think of the money we could save if they met only every
other year, like some state legislatures do. But then the TV "commentator"
industry would collapse. Boo hoo.
