To All:
Thanks for all the information....Les, Paul, Bill, Kenneth, and Roy.
I always assumed the holes were threaded, but I can't even find the
right diameter to even check it. 1/4 inch is a bit too small and no one
local sells 3/16" to try. The 3/4 " length is fine and so would 5/8". So
I'll keep the screws I have, and see if my mostly well equipped hardware
store has clip nuts that fit, to fasten it. If not Ill order some.
Thanks to all the friendly great advice on here and maybe I shook the
trees a little on whats been a quiet list the past few years. I sold the
JX-17 but kept a 1952 "6"(reworked by TMC in 1956 for Dual Diversity)
for my own use. I removed the black paint from the dial cowlings and
S-meter, and polished the brass for a neat look. Now to drag the SSB
adapter I have squirreled away out of mothballs too. Many years ago the
group on here at the time, all ordered a custom cabinet for the
SP-600's, and this one is installed in that one.
I would love to hear any more information regarding this issue.
