[Hammarlund] HX-500 LV choke

All - Continuing to troubleshoot the HX-500. Making a bit of progress
and finding lots of out of tolerance resistors.

It seems however that the LV choke (pn 26302) in the rig is running
quite hot -- so much that it's uncomfortable to put your hand on the
frame (I tested it first for voltage there... hi hi).

I'm assuming that kind of heat probably isn't normal -- and possibly
could explain the higher than normal voltage coming out of the LV power
supply section?

Anyways, I'm inclined to replace it with something "new", like a Hammond
157M which has the same inductance and series resistance as the original
choke ( 8 Hy and 250 ohms). The 157 is only rated at 100 mA though.

Might anyone have a suggestion as to a replacement, short of having the
original rewound?

Thanks!

Jeff
