[Hammarlund] HQ-180 - Success and next steps

Cured the silver mica disease in the first IF!  I will probably have to 
do the other two, but working at the moment.

So question to the list -- what mods are worth it to bring it up to the 
HQ-180A? Or are there any worthwhile?

For instance:  installing a separate transformer for the oscillator and 
first mixer filaments to make them always on? Solid state rectifiers? 
Removing specific tube shields?

Appreciate any input.
