Those folks have been burned by the common misconception that you remove all
of the old caps and replace all of them with disc ceramic.  That notion is 
just
as foolish.  I guess fools are not unique to audio enthusiasts.

I'm not an Audiofool as some call them only because my ears only respond to
4Kc and lower from too many years behind a noisy prop.

Those old paper caps, when new, were superior to ceramic caps for linear 
applications.  What they miss is the Polypropylene caps will do far better 
than the original paper caps or ceramic caps in linear applications 
especially audio for those that still enjoy good hearing.
