In my experience, the only time BBOD's produce good audio is when they make a clinking sound at the bottom of a garbage can.

cracked.  IIRC, 0.022mfd is the most sought after, for the Gibson tone 
controls.  0.010 also sells OK.  I've financed several projects from the 
proceeds of BBOD's removed from SP-600's.
    They can also "hear the difference" between various mfgrs of 12AX7's, 
6L6's, 6V6's, etc.
