Subject: [Milsurplus] SP-600 Question

I bought my first Hammarlund SP-600 almost 45 years ago and I have owned 5 or 6 others since then. Recently I came across a JX-14 that has a bandspread dial calibrated for the amateur bands, something I have never seen before since all of mine have had the standard bandspread dial that consists of nothing more than a logging scale. How common are these ones marked with the ham bands? Were the dials supplied by Hammarlund or are they an after-market item?

Regards,

Tom
