[Hammarlund] HQ-129-X Panel Color

     I have an HQ-129-X with a rather dark gray front panel. 
All the photos I've seen of the receiver show a lighter gray 
with a definite contrast to the dial bezel and cabinet. On 
this receiver the panel is nearly as dark as the bezel and 
cabinet. The receiver was extremely clean when I got it but 
shows no sign of having been restored.  Did Hammarlund make 
some receivers with a darker panel or is this a replacement 
of some sort.  The lettering looks original and is slightly 
raised.
