IMHO, Super Pros are excellent receivers for the time period, and are quite useful even 
today. However, as you say, the prices on eVilBay are WAAAAAAY too high, generally. I 
never could understand that...

I have at least three BC-779s: one is essentially NOS, one has been MAJORLY hacked, and 
one is not much good for anything but parts.

I hope to get to at least one of those before the new year is out.
