Thank you for this and other very helpful inputs from the list.

Still puzzled that the customer (SHAPE, that is the headquarters of the US
Commander of NATO forces in Europe) would be mentioned on the adhesive tag
itself. I know this receiver was "standard issue" for communications from a
lot of US embassies, US Information Service, three-letter agencies, etc. for
a certain period.
