Yes. I had one of those too, and had to sell it then. Drat! :-(

Yes. I know my TS-940SAT does, but I have not yet disabled those
attenuators from the BC band.

Yes, it is.
It was much more stable than the HF versions. In fact, I liked using
it better than I like using my R-389. It was much easier to use,
quieter and covered a greater frequency spread: down to 10 KHz.
Although my memory may be faulty by now (Ha!) I think mine was an "X"
version: it had crystal controlled channels.
Mine were OEMs by Hammarlund for Dero, by the way. Same receiver. I
watched one of the Dero versions sell on eBay for $1500.00 a couple
of years after I sold my last one.
BTW, I am also using an RBL-5 (Wells-Gardner version). It isn't as
stable as the RAK, but is a heck of a lot easier to tune since it has
direct-frequency readout.
