Not everyone has a sweeper Ken and even Hammarlund included the sig gen 
method in some manuals. I havent bothered with the sweeper in ages after 
tests showed no performance difference.

BTW, my sweeper of choice is a GR-1025A complete with the National Radio ID 
tag. Its a blast watching the motor drive do its thing but its big and heavy 
and normally does not reside on a bench.
