This leaky choke problem was addressed in a Hollow State News article
quite some time ago. Unfortunately, the "fix" they suggested was to
insulate the case from the chassis and continue to use the defective
choke
DO NOT DO THIS.
It is a danger both to you and especially to any future owner of the
radio, no matter if you label the thing and post warning signs or
whatever.
I look forward to hearing of any Hammond part that does the job
nicely. I'll add that info to any future brief diatribes.
