Well boys i think i have the receiver fix. To make a long story short, I change out the 6js7 tube and the 6sn7 and the 6h6 tubes. Boy did that ever change things around. I was told once to not really rely on a tube tester reading that a tube is good. Now i know why. The BFO change so now i have to have the bfo on the left side of the 0 of the beat oscillator instead of the right . Plus it alot easier to clarify a station in audio wise now. Plus the crackling in the audio seems to be gone now. Just to make sure its not heat related i got so freeze spray and sprayed each mica cap and there was no change. Now i will let the receiver run and lets see what happens.So far the receiver has been running most of the morning and its getting better and better with time.
