[Hammarlund] Interfacing an HQ-170A to Johnson Viking 1

Bill,

(BTW,, I'm in Manassas!)

I can discuss the HQ-170A - BUT - not the Viking.

The HQ-170A has TWO sockets on the rear apron.  The one you will be 
dealing with is the SYSTEM socket.  It is the one, looking at it from 
the rear, that is all the way to the right - and right of the power cord.

It is an octal socket, 8 pin, like for a 6V6.  The socket NOT to be used 
is the four pin accessory socket up higher and near the middle.

Pins 3 and 4 are for muting the HQ-170A.

All Parker is going to continue to explain the Viking "Solution".
