Interestingly, even with two sump pumps, I had a flooded HQ110AC and basically followed Ken kb7rgg outlined below. Lesson learned, get the dirned radio off the floor! Just dumb.
Only difference was that I didn't bake it. I let it sit in the sun for a ~5 days with the transformer covers off. Besides the transformer, my other concern was the IF cans which seemed to dry out well. IIRC, the cans were a daunting prospect to remove. Very low pressure compressed air and sun seemed to do the trick in the if chain. The only thing I had to replace was the S meter which never came back despite disassembly etc. Good thing for disk caps! I love the 110 series. When aligned well it's not a bad little boatanchor.
