Al is right about hemostats.  They are wonderful little tools.  Also, if 
you can find one, the desoldering tool that frequently was packed as a 
part of a Weller gun "kit" is great.  It is made of aluminum, so solder 
doesn't stick to it.  It is about 6 inches long with a red plastic shank 
and two pointed aluminum ends.  One end is like an ice pick for digging 
into a soldered connection to find the beginning of the wrap and the 
other end has a split in it so that you can get the wire into the split 
and unwind it from the contact and onto the tool...if that makes any 
sense.  Easy to use, difficult to describe!  Mine has a red plastic 
shank and is one of my most useful tools...second only to the hemostats.
