[Hammarlund] advice on shipping sp-600 to UK

This proposition looks completely phony to me. It resembles the good old
Nigerian e-mail fraud. You may find that the check or money order is bogus.
 
Just for information, I just shipped a couple of months ago a British Navy
surplus transmitter and its power supply, in two boxes, totaling 220 pounds,
from Wales in the UK to my nearest airport (Greenville-Spartanburg, SC) for
$740 and that included truck pickup and transportation from the seller to
Cardiff Airport in Wales. I picked up the packages at the shipping company's
office at my airport. 
I don't think that an SP-600 should be more than $500 - if that- to ship to
the UK, and that's with truck transportation from you to the airport and
from the destination airport to the buyer's location. 
BTW the shipping company I use is BAX Global and I found it the most cost
effective for heavy, large boatanchor shipping to/from overseas. They don't
damage anything and all is shipped by air.
When I have something shipped to me, I pay for shipping here, when I pick up
the package.

I've restored an sp-600 and a chap who's email is xxx at yahoo.co.uk is
willing to pay the
$500 + $50 extra for the radio and upto $3000 to a ship company.  This
sounds quite "fishy"
to me, but if he delivers a money order, certified cheque how do I
loose?  (He has to arrange
packaging/shipping - not me)

   Nice reading your message and the conditon of the item,I would love
to let you know that i'm very pleased with the price and to let you know
i will be adding more $50 to it making $550 for the item,Now i will need
to send the details of where the payment will be send to, i will let you
know that the payment will be getting in canadian money order with the
amount of $3000 once you get the money order deduct your own money
including the $50 and make the rest fund transfer to the shipping
company so that the pick up of the item can be done.
