Interesting Mark about the Alcohol.  Back when I was a pup 
working for radio stations, the cart machine manufacturers 
all said to use denatured alcohol, 99.9% to clean the 
capstans and avoid Isopropyl and other cleaning agents 
because they contained contaminants such as water and light 
oils.
Maybe the content of denatured has been altered???

As I understand dry cleaning fluid is naphtha, which is a 
light oil.

Alcohol is a poor second. Beware Isopropyl or denatured
