I feel the same way. I loved mine. After I added a triode product 
detector (I used 1/2 of the 6N7 noise-limiter tube) it was the quietest 
and most sensitive receiver I had in the shack.

I REEEEEEEAAAALY wish I hadn't given it away, but that was back in 
the 1960s.

Mine had this delightful way of drifting slightly back and forth. It 
sounded very nice. I used mine for everything you would use a receiver 
for in the shack. It was especially good for RTTY on 20 meters and 
lower. It was very reliable and I seldom turned it off.

And that continuously variable IF selectivity was totally awesome.
