Hi Joe -

You can first try spraying it with some lube especially made for pots. Just 
get some what is now called Fader-Lube - made by Caig Labs, the place that 
created De-Oxit. I use a lot of it for guitar amp pots and I find it works 
very very well and unlike their De-Oxit product it leaves lubrication behind 
after it evaporates.
