[Hammarlund] Shipping a Hammarlund

Hey there Alan... I would first check out a commercial outfit. Here in Florida, Pack'n'Ship comes to mind. They're a chain with many stores here and I've used them many times. I don't know if they're nationwide. Of course, the UPS Store is nationwide and there may be one near you. There may be several other such companies in your area. They have the proper stuff to package the radio, insure it, and guarantee in writing that the radio will arrive at it's destination unscathed. Check the yellow pages.  These stores will sell you what you need if you want to package it yourself, but you get no guarantee unless they do the packing. By the way, I would never consider using the U.S. Postal Service for shipping a Hammarlund. As for the weight limit, ask these stores what they can do. I wonder why he wants to take it on the plane. Why not just ship it to where he's going? Good luck. Mike
