Yes, you read that correct! Finally! Yea! Keep an eye on the mailbox, mail
chute, mail slot, fifty gallon drum or whatever your regular stuff bearing
address labels and stamps arrives in.

They are being sent out in the order they were received.

Reminder! In case you did not see the posts that pertain to this, listen up
now!

Because the production company in CA I originally contracted with to produce
the
video has a problem with the video files and .tif files conflicting, and are
as
of this date unable to resolve the format issue, I have removed all the
non-video files from the digital video disk. They are on a CD in twelve
directories, or folders. You do need a computer with a CD drive to load
them.
You can also print them.

I am not charging anything additional for the extra cost I have incurred
because
of this odd problem with the video formatting. They had assured me that it
would
work just fine, as did several others I also checked with, but apparently
the
equipment they use for professional video replication does not agree with
them.
I was left with two options. Wait for them to find the answer to the issue,
which could be a day or a month or ... Who knows! Or do the work myself. I
decided to wait two weeks and if nothing had been resolved, tackle it
myself.

Because of this unexpected problem, and the changes I was forced to make, it
may
actually work out better for all of you! How? When I did an informal, and
hardly
scientific poll, as to how many intended to play the digital video on a
stand
alone unit connected to their TV and how many planned to play it on the DVD
unit
in their computer, all but one who replied said "stand alone unit". I was
frankly surprised!

There is a real problem producing video of high enough quality to work well
on
the variety of digital video units on the market. The issue is one of
reflectivity. While the drives in a computer will work with as little as
60%,
the stand alone units demand at least 80%, most more. Some DVD media works
well,
some not. Had it not been for friends within Universal Studios, who helped
me
with this area we blind dudes are NOT familiar with, it would not be mailing
right now!

I have tested the media I used on a variety of stand alone units that are
very
particular, some demanding reflectivity of 92%. All have worked thus far. If
it
works on the stand alone units, it will definitely work on your computer
drive.

Because of the rather fast learning curve I had to struggle through with the
crash course in video production, especially when I could not see the CRT to
know if I had snow, fuzz balls or good video, I am sending the certification
with the second shipment of the two CD set. Oh yes, I did have sighted
critics
on hand to eat popcorn, drink my various carbonated beverages and grumble
about
any displaced pixel! A few drops of that stuff they put in tranquilizer dart
guns to send an Elephant to La La Land for a nap, quieted those critics
right
down. I am not sure which was more annoying, their video critiques or that
blasted snoring that sounded like a chainsaw band that thought 'harmony' was
a
southern food, as in "harmony and grits"!

Because of the unfortunate loss of KC2GSR, Richard Jubanyik, a dear friend,
one
of the two HCI attorneys, Hallicrafters receiver collector, dedicated Ham
and
terrific guy I do have some extra certified sets now available. They will go
on
a first come, first served basis. You can read the details on the HCI web
site.
>From the home page, find "What's New", click on it, find the link for
"Historic
Halligan Radio Project", click on it and you are there. Before you write to
ask:

No, the DVD and CDS do 'NOT' contain the same material.
Total for the DVD and two CD set shipped is $43 in the USA.
