[Hammarlund] BFO trouble with an Sp600

Hello all, I took the front panel off of a JX-21 to clean it as part of 
the restoration. Upon putting it back on, now the BFO does not work very 
well, it was fine before. On the plate of the 6C4 (V13) there is ample 
signal (4V PP) with the switch on but the signal  going to the V12 
buffer  grid is very low (around .75 volts and distorted). Anyone run 
into this before? Could there be  something in the oscillator can that 
decided to go bad? Does anyone know what the peak to peak signal level 
at the 6BA6 (V12) pin 1 should be?
