I wish to thank everyone for the reply to my request for help. I did not 
realize that anti fungus coating was hazardous. This old SP-600JX-14 
(R-274A) came with all covers, so at least the stuff is not looking you in 
the face. The only other problem is freeing the dial lock up. I have had it 
in a can of stuff I purchased from the auto parts store for weeks. I think 
it is a lost course. If any one has a parts radio, I would be very 
interested in purchasing the dial lock
