Well, I couldn't wait and started the tear down of the SP-600JX-1. I took
allot of pictures, bagged and marked everything that came of. I found a
broken shaft coupling and was really surprised to find that MOST of the
bumble bees were cracked. Some read as low as a few hundred ohms, well
others measured up in the thousand ohms. These will all be replace, I mean
ALL, including the "hidden" ones. I did find some resistors that were way
out and made note, to change these. I am missing a tube shield, which I have
and also missing the power tranny strap that attaches to the two standoffs
and holds the tranny in place. No biggie but will be looking for one of
those. I did notice that the manuals I have are for the JX-21 and JX-17.
There are some minor differences in capacitor values.
OK, that's the update. Stay tuned for next weeks update.
